Homemade Wrapping Paper

Yesterday we tried our hands at making our own wrapping paper. We used some of the easel paper from the kids' art easel, although if you don't have this on hand you could use the inside of brown paper grocery sacks.I poured a little red and green paint into two plastic cottage cheese lids, then we dipped cookie cutters (we have this set and love it!) into the paint and pressed them on the paper.

Isaac was excited to wake up from his nap to find a present for himself and his sister wrapped up in the paper he made!

For cleaning the cookie cutters I just put them in a bowl of warm soapy water right after painting and later in the day they were clean, ready to be rinsed and put away!
