My two and a half year old pulled out a checker board the other day that had fallen behind a bookshelf. And it became a half hour project. He enjoyed finding toys that would fit in the squares, placing beads in the squares, and standing Jenga blocks up in the squares. We'll have to pull out the checker board again some day!
