Safees Reflectors: Review and Giveaway!

***Giveaway closed!  Congrats to Terri for winning the Safee Reflectors!***

Did you know that wearing a reflector as a pedestrian can increase your visibility in traffic by up to 500 percent?!  I didn't.  Until Johanna, the founder and owner of Safees contacted me about her product and her desire to help children in the United States be safe as they walk and play outside.

Johanna grew up in Sweden where children are taught to always wear a reflector.  Now living in the US Johanna searched for reflectors when her first child was born but was not able to find them readily available.  So she founded Safees and now strives to help children in America be safer by wearing Safee reflectors.

Johanna sent us two reflectors to review, an owl and a heart shape.  My children were delighted and began wearing them around the house right away!  By checking out the Safees website I learned that reflectors should be worn at knee height (because that is where a car's lights will shine.)  Also, free moving reflectors catch and reflect the most light, making them the most visible.

This video shows how helpful Safees are for pedestrians and drivers alike:

Safees come in a variety of designs and colors and cost only $6 each.  As an old Scandinavian saying goes, reflectors are very cheap life insurance!

Because helping children (and adults!) be safe is so important to Johanna, she is giving one lucky reader 5 Safees!  To enter, use the Raffeltcopter form below.  And to anyone who can't wait for the giveaway, you can use this code to get 15% off your order of Safees: Safeesbacktoschool2012
